We seek papers that provide a competition law perspective on competition law in and for Asia. Possible topics could be

 

Digital markets and competition law

  • Home grown competition related laws on digital markets

  • The Brussels effect of competition related laws, with a specific focus on 

    • Digital markets act

    • Digital services act

    • Data act

  • Experimentalist approach

  • Sector regulation versus general law

The intersection of corporate law and competition law

  • Minority shareholding and competition law

  • Common ownership and competition law

  • State-owned enterprises and competition law 

  • SMEs and competition law

  • Hub-and-spoke cartels 

Inclusive competition policy

  • Sustainability and competition law

  • ESG and competition law

  • Global value chain and competition law 

  • Gender and competition law 

Any new evolution in competition law in Asia

Submission of Paper Proposals

The organizing committee will review abstracts related to the regulation of competition law in and for Asia. Joint submissions are possible. Only one abstract per author will be considered.

Selection criteria are:

  • Originality and innovativeness of the work

  • Relevance to the theme

  • Geographical and gender balance

Abstracts must be submitted via the conference website on the following page: 

 

 

 

 

The following information must be provided with each abstract:

  • The author’s name

  • The author's affiliation

  • A small biography (maximum 250 words) 

Timeline

  • The deadline for submission of abstracts is

Extended deadline 7 March 2025

  • Successful applicants will be informed no later than

10 April 2025

  • No requirement to submit full papers​

  • The conference begins on Wednesday 21 May  and ends on Thursday 22 May 2025
